Nice writing, El Tel. 'Snaggle-toothed' et al. Some fine choices. Sort of a cross between Miss Jean Brodie and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. With some Dickensian whimsy and desolation thrown in. I'll read it to my nephews next bedtime. |

Oh my goodness!
I didn't see that end coming. The descriptions were quite vivid, especially the one of Alfie. I enjoyed this thoroughly. It is well-written. That Alfie is a horror.
