Spain is lovely!

Isn't interesting how the Olive Trees are so small compared to the Giant Sequioa?

How divine!

Yes indeed, even the air is different in Spain.

Went to Spain as a child, hardly left the airport...but there was something in the air that I loved...not sure if it was a smell or a feeling....but it remains one of the places in the world I'd most like to visit!!!

Koriani

Thanks for your comment. One sees many olive trees like those. Did I mention that I shall post a piece about the ancient olive trees of Spain? Those in Castellon are some of the oldest trees in the world ; rivalling the great American redwoods for longevity.

The known oldest one is actually in Greece. Surprised you didn't see it!

Oh, the olive trees are absolutely beautiful!
I used to live in Greece and remember visiting the olive groves but I don't recall seeing anything like those.  I was only 5 though...

ER ... yes, Lady Ariela broke her ankle schlepping around the mountain in the dusk.

As I sit here, I can hear the cazadores - the hunters - shooting in the mountains behind our house. Probably after jabalis, the wild pigs of the sierras

Lovely scenes, especially the mountains and flowers. The terrain looks rugged. I wonder if anybody ever goes rock hunting.

Thank you. That's what I always think, whenever I see a venerable old olive tree.

There'll be a lot more of my thoughts on this, when I post a piece about them in future

Ariel...Truly worth a thousand words......
Quite a breathtaking collage...Talk about a Kodak moment. The poppies were my favorite, and heck, I'd love to buy one of those trees. Spain, is indeed, quite beautiful...Thanks for inviting us on your journey....
