Go to Bush's War, or The War Of The Gulf

Maybe so, DamonLeigh. If they could recall Grey Davis in California to
a allow Arnold Schwarzeneger to be voted governor in a special election, it can be done. But let me bone up on my Constitution and see about that regular person or elected person angle. Like anything else done legally in the United States, a simple petition for recall NOTARIZED AND WITNESSED should suffice. I'm also sure that it would take a certain number of people or a certain percentage, say, of registered voters, but let me check.

...I, too, want what's best for America and the world - or should that be the world, and America as part of the world?
In any event, your note about recalling politicians - how does that work? What needs to happen in order for Bush to be recalled? Is the heart of America really so democratic that this can be achieved by the people, or does it need to be started by a Senator or a Congressman or a Judge?
I'd love to know more. Maybe the recall movement begins right here, on Blogit, in YOUR comments section!

Thanks, DamonLeigh. High praise and I'm not sure if I'm worthy, being a
reluctant patriot who simply wants what's best for America, and, by extension, the rest of the world. It is high time we ended this desert fiasco in Iraq.

I agree, mellyn, that we must begin to take back what has been slowly
taken from us -- our country and some of our rights as citizens. Bringing Dubya and his cronies to heel would be a good start. But given the general state of denial of most Americans toward the president's policies, little if anything will be done. We have the right to recall any politician who displeases us, who doesn't meet the expectations of his constituents, who does not represent. Well, according to the polls -- and their consistency leaves no room for error -- Dubya wins the trifecta. He needs to be recalled, removed from office.

WE BRING THEM HOME, THEN WE TIE BUSH'S HANDS BEHIND HIS BACK
Turn him around and let him look into every parents eyes and then when he looks straight ahead he'll be like Suddan Hussein the last people he'll see are his soldiers, screaming I'm the President of the Uni...BANG BANG BANG We the people have the right, and the Govenment has taken that right from us, with alot of snow jobs, and we accept it. Tell all you readers, I know you have plenty, call their representative and ask for a copy od The Constitution, all 4 books, especially the pocketsize.
VENGANCE IS MINE, Sayeth The Lord, Call Him on His Promise.

Works for me, scoop. The sooner, the better -- for all concerned, and
that would include our sluggish and assinine commander-in-chief.

No higher praise, RAME, and thank you. If we could only get some of our
politicians to order up a national referendum for the removal of our troops -- ah, who the hell am I kidding. But it's a good, pluralistic, democratic dream nonetheless.

saul_relative,
Once again, if I hadn't known better, I would have sworn I wrote that since it is my sentiments exactly. I couldn't agree with you more.
