I bet you look beautiful when you dance.....most people do.  I have a little sign in my bathroom...there are many variations of it  "Live like you'll die tomorrow....dance like no one is watching.....love like you've never been hurt"    or    "sing like no one is listening" ...... or as my bro-in-law likes to say it "love like no one is watching" and "dance like you've never been hurt"....................anyway, dancing is joyous!!!

Funny how you worded your comment.....this actually started out as a post on meditation, of sorts....dancing wasn't even on my mind....but my fingers were typing....and as my words took me inside my self....there I was...shuffle, shuffle, step-ball-change...it suddenly was all a metaphor for what is going on in my life right now....that is exactly what I am doing....and you are hearing, as you read....me doing it.....do you see what I mean?  I mean, I didn't plan it to be that when I started typing, not at all.....it just went there.

Krisles, I always wished that I could dance for everyone but all I've ever been able to do is just dance for me.   I'm terrible to look at but oh it makes me feel good.

Figured I'd find you dancing again.   You almost got me with that high kick, there...haha.    Interesting the way you wrote this.  I could get the image and the feeling of someone doing those step moves, with the beat and rhythm.  It made me think of someone dancing without music -- so that you could hear their feet shuffling on the floor -- but hearing the music in their mind.

Krisles,

Ouch! My heart goes out to you, especially with the dancing. I'm improving with certain therapy, excerise, lots of walking. Problem is arthritis had already set up before I hurt my back from the punishment of driving a 18-wheeler and a very active life style and there's not much you can do for that yet. I inherited the arthritis from my mother's side. I'm anti-drug so I don't take anything unless except asprin and not often. Shadow

Ouch, I'm sorry!  I'm thinking about a post from just having a compressed collar bone released today....had a nerve trapped in my shoulder for going on 4 months....and I've had quite a bit of radicualpathy before...legs and arms...so I sympathize, believe me.  Did they have you on a TENS....epidurals used for that?  Anyway, there's so much being done every single day...I don't think there's ever a point that all that can be done, has been done...I need a knee replacement...maybe by the time I get that, there'll be something more that can be done for you, and we can put on a floor show together!

Krisles,

The accident happened before I joined. I had my lower part of my spinal cord compressed enough to shatter bone splinters into the major leg nerves to my right leg from a work related accident that the company denied. The injury went too long that when I had the surgery (I paid for it) they couldn't repair the nerve damage. I won the law suit against them. Had I not been injured I would have finished grad school 2 years ago. I get around pretty good, do have some bad days, but I still do normal activities, ride my horses, hike, and camp. What accident?  I don't know about this...must have been before my time.  I assume you've had therapy and al that....are you at maximum recovery for now?

Krisles,

About all I can do now is something slow or maybe the electric dance since the accident. My right leg won't obey my brain much anymore. My brain would tell my leg go this way and the stupid leg would go the opposite. Shadow

Glad you enjoyed....do you dance?  Just curious, do you ever get a rhythm going when you are working with the stone....hear music in it?

Thanks!  And that wasn't fair, not to take your injury into consideration!  You can't dance injured, for goodness' sake!  I  bet you were very graceful in your plie's, and still are.

And I bet you look just as cool as the Fonz.....I had a really fun jazz tap dance number once that had a lot of finger snaps in it....I remember my costume so well....black and white stripe stretch, with red fringe....my shoes were painted silver and I thought I was hot stuff struttin' around snappin' my fingers....I had forgotten all about that....thanks for the memory!

krisles...
sounds fun and like good exercise. I wish I could dance - I can only dance like "The Fonz" did. Just lean back, watch and snap my fingers. lol

I used to love to do pointe....don't really know if my knees could be trusted anymore....or rather, even if they could, what it would do to them!  It was a wonderful feeling to stretch out the legs, though.....reach for the sky.

I love modern jazz, too!  It was so expressive....plus, it didn't hurt the feet!  I was a cheerleader in junior high, but couldn't twirl and cheer in high school, and I was too into twirling by then....I had wanted to be a Rangerette when I was a little girl, but then I decided I didn't want to go to Jr College at all but straight to UT.....still kind of wish I'd stuck with my original plan...kind of one of those, how different would my life have been things......silly, I know, but the ramifications of that one little decision were enormous....

Let me loosen my taps for anything electric...it'll make more sparks if they're loose....tap, tap, tap, tap....shuffle, shuffle, shuffle...heel,toe,heel,toe....get Spitfire out here...we'll get a little line goin' here.  Wait, you wouldn't wax the floor on us just to watch us glide, would ya?

Thank you, sweet thang...but, whoa!  You can make people laugh!!!  I appreciate that you appreciate me but I appreciate you so much more than you could ever appreciate......so we will just appreciate the appreciation we have for each other....can you appreciate what I'm saying?  I appreciate that.

that was pretty good

while im not one for dancing, it was cool how you seemed to incorporate the rythm in the writing.  i liked it.

again, further admiration from the guy who only knows how to draws funny pictures and makes fun of deaf people.

When I was a little girl I did dance class for 5 years. It was fun, I can remember some of the things they used to put us in and wonder why I let them do it! I remember one fairy costume, I thought I would trip every other step. It had different lengths on it and I was small, so I tried to hold them up...that didn't work!

Now cheerleading...that was definitely more my gig! Although I did love modern jazz!

Don't kill yourself dancing around the living room!!!

I like getting dizzy, too!  I loved my dance classes....and the recitals!  The costumes, butterflies in the stomach....going on the stage.  We used to put on shows in the neighborhood all the time.  I'm going to break my neck, dancin' around the dang cats some night!
