Man, you're lucky to be in one piece as an adult. LOL I think that bruise on your wahzoo was supposed to remind you throughout your years to keep the rough-housing down. *grin*

Well, Symphony, when I was 8 years old......
Just below our house was a creek.  One day we had massive big rains and that creek came up high and roaring and I got the innertube out and jumped into that fast water and on that tube I went speeding down the creek.  The water was flowing so fast that I could not get off.  I floated all the way down into the Ohio River before anybody was able to get ahold of me and pull me off that innertube.  I was actually quite lucky that somebody seen me do that and knew just where to look for me.  Otherwise, I would not be writing this comment!
woe is me

That's about five miles of floating, pretty scarey!

One of them was when I thought I could fly. My brother and I carried unberella's to the top of the roof and jumped...it didn't work! It was a pretty hard fall, but hey, we tried!!

Symph,

Ahhhh.........days of childhood and being a total terror. I was also a tom boy and when I was home from showing dogs I did as I pleased as my parents never really cared as long as I didn't get caught. It would take a book to list all my little adventures, cuts, scrapes, and broken bones. Shadow

Yes exactley, avant-garde ...I totally agree
I am more protective over my kids than any of my friends are with their children...my mother was not protective at all.

you've had a very colorful life. i've noticed that the most daring kids know what's out there when they become parents. they usually are very protective of their kids. i know that i am this way with mine.

symphony,
Wonderful treasures of memories! Be careful of horses! They cause irreparable damage. "Superman" fell from one and never recovered.

cosy ...I did not have the best of childhood either
it was only recently that I let go of the bad (by writing it) and now I can think of the few funny memories that I had, but none of them are really about my family (only cousin) because nobody really noticed what I was doing., I think now, it was more about me rebelling, or trying to grab attention.
