You may not be able to get cable or dsl. . , but. . , you could always get sattelite internet. I think the rates are pretty compatible with those of cable. As much as you like/use the internet, you'd probably find it desirable. The Monster's brother has it, and he likes it a lot.

Everyone is OK. I'll post in a bit about it as best as I can. I wish cable was available, we don't even have cable TV here LOL!

We don't have cable or anything of the sort available here. Dial up is my only option and we only have 1 option for that.

Yes it's brutal but think how much worse it was in the days before internet service or even, the phone...and they just had to wait for a letter...that would be unbearable!!

The phone connection is lousy more often than not, but it is always such a blessing when you get that call.

If all goes well, he will be home in time for Christmas. It is certainly a roller coaster of emotions, luckily it will be over soon.

Do cable companies like Charter etc., require phone lines? I don't have that but I know how important the timing is for you. I am sorry. I shall pray all is well. BB

It's hard to think back to the days before one could go online for such vital communications but setting them up can be a pain in the butt.
I always enjoy the matter of fact style of your posts

Dear surrogate daughter.....I'm so glad the news is already good by the time I've read this so I don't have to stress....I had my roast and have written a post about it....did you? Mine was yummy, but bet it would have been better had you cooked it. Just think, not that long ago wives had to wait for letters......seems almost unreal now, doesn't it?! Have a wonderful rest of the day

No news is good news seems to be the mantra for all of us. Luckily he came back and the news was actually good. I'll write about it later. Thanks for stopping in.

As dumb as it sounds, " No news is good news". I hated hearing that during deployments but sometimes it was the only thing that kept me sane.
