I'm guilty of not reading much.
But I don't read many people at all....I just read really slowly and it takes me so long to catch up. So, I don't get to do it much. I gave up trying a long time ago, so I lost a lot of readers. I'm happy that you always read my poetry though. Thank you for that.

Symp-I agree with u. It is only right to acknowledge a comment and to
comment back as well. While I seldom read anyone who hasn't left me a comment, I will occasionally as we all have a few favorites. I do not gush and go crazy over a poem if it is an obvious dog, but will acknowledge it if the person has commented on my work. As far as quality, I am happy if two or three of my weeks normal writing of five or six poems is a keeper.

I tend to spend

I do spend time reading and commenting.
and sometimes it seems as if I am wasting my time...though a lot of times I learn something or laugh or cry so maybe my time is well spent anyway.

i read you more than you know, because sometimes i just can't think of anything to comment on what you've written. i guess i'd like to know more about those who read and don't comment, but maybe if they spoke what they thought i might want them to continue reading the old way. oh, well.

Don't feel bad...
I know I didn't get it at first, took a bit for me to realize. I try to leave a mark that I was there, as it drives me insane when I see someone stopped by. Creative types, I know I have way too many insecurities, so I try not to do it to others. Thanks for the post.

I do the same, I read you but do not comment.....it is because I never really know what to say (I don't speak my opinon often
) and if I just left a smiley...then I would get accused of not reading properly....so it is safer this way.

Yesterday I kind of said the same thing I'm about to say here. I enjoy the comments because I think the key to successful blogging, whatever your idea of success might be, is to build relationships. Even if I don't make a lot of money, by having the relationships, blogging is a lot of fun and something I look forward too.
