We have the same problems here on this island.
People who could care less about the environment and throw garbage out willy-nilly. The solid waste agency has quite a challenge to keep our streets clean.
Strange place for a cat to sleep, but then I guess your cat knows why.

Smokers are rapidly becoming an insanely persecuted minority, and the anti-smoking lobby are becoming increasingly strident un irrational in their venomous diatribes against smokers.
They are not their fellow humans, but some kind of polluting vermin, and it is no exaggeration to say that one can see echoes of Nazi propaganda against the Jews in this. And those who don't necessarily subscribe to their views go along with it meekly ; too cowed to speak out in defence of what is after all a personal choice.
Before anyone jumps in with the usual plea for the rights of non smokers to breathe clean air ; of course they should be able to do so. But the have no right whatsoever to prevent anyone smoking in a properly ventilated area, where non smokers don't have to go.

It's interesting watching the smoking laws going up little by little in Europe. Everyone in Germany smokes, too, but every year now, we hear another no-smoking law go into effect. I can't see prohibiting smoking in one's car, though. That's private space. Wonderful post, Ariel.

A law against smoking in cars? Yeah, good luck enforcing that

Thanks for dropping by.
Lady Ariela's Welsh, and I'm English, and we got the hell out of Britain 'cos we couldn't stand it any more. We've been here five years now, and out love-affair with Spain is if anything stronger than when we came.
Spain is our homeland now, and I intend never to return to Britain, even for a visit ; altho' Diana does go back once or twice a year to visit family and friends.
Congratulations! You are my 1000th click! I'll send you a nice El Fumo cigar, to get you off those foul stogies that you're smoking right now! Oh, and a small tanker full of Spanish wine. Lasts twice as long as bottle.

Ariel, I've been meaning to ask...are you and the Mrs. Spanish or do you
just live in Spain because you love it so or both?
