Great picture and great story to back it up! Just by looking at it (the picture), you can tell how happy the two of you are with each other.

You're always saying you can't dance, so I decided to see just exactly what the dictionary definition of dancing is because I realized I didn't really know....and I did know just about anything passes so I couldn't understand how it could be such a big deal. And so, here are the two definitions (and I guarandamntee you that anything you do with Carl out there on the floor fits:
verb: to move or seem to move up and down or about in a quick or lively manner
noun: a series of rhythmic and patterned bodily movements usually performed to music

hey Military, have you ever read the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho?
you remind me of the women of the desert. they watch their lovers leave, and stay home awaiting their return.
the boy in the alchemist falls in love with a woman of the dessert, and she tells him to go after his dreams, that she will wait for him. That the women in her village have been living that way for centuries. Then he asks her why she is crying. Her answer "I am a woman of the desert, but above all, I am a woman."
Anyway, sorry for the ramble, but it's a beatiful story. You should check it out if you haven't read it. It's a fable about going after your dreams. It is a very simple story, it could even be for kids, but it has the same timeless quality as the Little Prince. You can read it at any age however many times you want, and you will get something new from it each time.

A very moving portrait--both your writing and the picture. It's an interesting co-incidence that a few of the most compelling movies today are about dancing, or at least about dancing as a vehicle for people's aspirations and emotions. Shall We Dance, especially the original Japanese version, comes to mind, as well as the Mad Ballroom thing, with all the kids learning to dance in their schools in New York. Now you've got me counting off the days until your husband returns. Hemlocker

I hate shoes too!
I never wore any till I started school. I still take mine off anytime I can get away with it, including at work or at church. That's a great pic of you and hubby. Are you still stressing about him coming home soon?
