we have an annual veterans day parade here, and I always cry. The air is so emotion-charged and the slapping adds to it, I just can't help it. Glad you got a surrogate hug--the real thing will be coming soon.

I like the spring parade
in NYc, with all the ladies wearing their spring hats. I think it is called the Spring Hat Parade. Anyhow it is a hoot and has nothing to do with war. Love, Vib
