Thanks so much! Luckily these are not generally long missions (I'd have to buy stock in hair color if they were LOL), so I am hoping by tommorow I can give him hell for scaring me again.

Thanks! I am not nearly as crazy as I was the last time. But each time he does this it scares me and I am a firm believer of faith in any form having a strong hand in fate. Thanks!

I will do all of those for both of you. I know this must be incredibly difficult for you.

mil wife
when i was about to jump out of an airplane for the first time in the army, i was lucky enough to have pneumonia (i didn't know it was pneumonia until later). i called my mother the night before and told her i was coughing up blood, i could barely see straight, but i would be damned if i was gonna miss tomorrow's jump (in army airborne school, if you miss one day of training, you have to start over from the beginning with the next cycle of students, or go home. i had already spent 2 weeks of hell in fort benning, GA and wasnt about to waste it). she said she didnt want me to, but in the future if i ever decide to do anything this stupid, please dont call her and tell her.
needless to say, i got my 5 jumps, got my jumpwings, and made it home to tell about it, but i think you and my mom could have some fun conversations together, nevertheless.
also needless to say, your husband (along with every other soldier over there) has my deepest well-wishes. tell him to keep his head down. he'll be alright.
i really can't imagine what effect these deployments have on families (especially spouses and kids), but you have my deepest sympathy. hang in there.
