Thanks for reading.  I had a ball and it was such a great day, sometimes pictures help bring the point home.

MoodDawg

Thank you seems so insignificant for your service, but it's all I have to offer.  I hope you do realize how deeply grateful I am.

Wanted to add
hope your husband is well and safe, let him know that this vet is behind him 100%+. Now I shall go wipe away my tears.

WOW
thanks so much for sharing this, not only with me but also with the others here. It is so warming to know that the honoring of those who have served our country has the same affect that it has always had on me. I can not hear taps without feeling the sting of tears in my eyes, nor hear the names of those who gave their everything to this country, without wondering what great things they might have accomplished had they not done so. Yes, I have three bronze and one silver star, along with two purple hearts. They are little value to me and would gladly trade them for those names on those roles.

It always angers me to hear about Vet's being mistreated.  Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment.

It is so nice of you to show your
support the way you do.  The biggest complaint one of my friend's fathers made to me was how when he came back from Vietnam, people actually verbally disrespected him in the airport.  He comes back to the states missing some of the best friends he ever had in his life, wounds from stepping on a land mine and being stabbed with a bayonnet among other things, and some jerks had the nerve criticize him.  My grandfather was wounded in WWII and later died from compounded injuries and illness at 51.  It is so important that we support these soldiers, even if we don't agree with war or policy, because the soldiers deserve it.  Take care

The fruits of valor live on ...
As a nation we have much to be thankful for, and much to regret.  May God bring each soldier safely home.

That would make a great title: COTTON CANDY IV. lol.

Quirky

I tend to be overly emotional these days anyway, but this was more than anyone could bear no matter how cold they are.

Some things only call for a a small amount of sugar others require sugar via IV....cotton candy is as close to the IV as I have been able to find.

I would have been crying too...those things really make even the hard hearted emotional. Way to go with the cotton candy--awesome sugar rush!!

Not a one.  It was incredibly emotional but beautiful.

Great post, Military!
As always, I appreciate you relaying what it's like to be involved with "military life".  Great job describing the ceremony.  As I read it, I felt as if I were admist the crowd!
