I am still a little bit peeved
The lockout was basically orchestrated by 10 owners who are known skinflints, like that silly Bill Wirtz in Chicago. What they managed to do was drag the other 20 teams "down" to their financial level. And although the cap is around $35-$40 million or so, it doesn't mean that these cheapos will still attempt to compete. All they did was guarantee that others; like Detroit, Colorado and Dallas, become cheapos like themselves. 
My Red Wings are going to have one helluva task ahead of them, cutting $65 million down to $38 million. No more dream team for Hockeytown!
