Quirky,

I am a reader and I liked this post, I believe we are bamboozled with most blogs, most headlines do not really honor the post. I am a deep thinker and I believe that reading is an honor and being read and recieving true and honest comments is more of a winner than any all mighty dollar. Post about that and I think you will see  those  in the high ranking really don't care what they say as long as the ranking is high there competitive side is shining through and the challenge of the  game is what drives them to write. And many just write Bullshit for that click, it is true there are friendship and loyalties all about within this condensed world on the web, but you have to dig for the true good writers and there are many I have found. Some are really, really good.  j.

I admit it, I skim!

I'll skim a lot of posts, but there are a few people here whose posts I read all the way through because I know they are always excellent--entertaining, thought-provoking, etc.

But like you said, there just isn't enough time in the day to read each and every post carefully.

And I thought it was because I wasn't being clear in my writing.
So I try harder...guess it helped hope so anyway.

Hi Quirky!
I wrote a post about this a while ago...i think most people skim the longer posts...or just give up. Hand up..I'm guilty of this! But not always...if it keeps my interest I'll read the long ones...it's mostly the people I don't know that I skim first!

We're all guilty of skimming from time to time, but if something really catches my attention - the reading begins!   I try to only leave comments when it truly got my attention!  Good post.

I have to skim sometimes.
I am more interested in entertainment than "deep thoughts." I do enjoy hearing about others' lives and experiences. I don't like flowery writing, preferring that people get to the point. But that is not new with blogging! So I skim pretty much everywhere I read!
