Whacky, I hope this is a caricature and not the gospel truth.

Whacky46,
Hospitals are never pleasant experiences except at discharge time. Thanks for reading my blog.

Ben.

Whacky,
too bad you and your mother had to have this experience. Glad to know things have moved on --  red

Ah yes!

You've captured hospital life perfectly!

Once, I went to the ER because I was having fainting spells.  They diagnosed me quickly enough (severe dehydration and I needed to be put on IV fluids, "stat"), but they wouldn't let me go out to the waiting room to tell my best friend I'd be a while.  After about an hour of sitting in a cold room with cold fluids dripping into my arm, feeling like my arm was in the process of freezing solid and having to pee pee pee, a nurse came in and asked me if I'd like my friend in there with me.  Oh God yes!!!

So she fetched my best friend but neglected to tell her that I was on IV.  So when my friend walked into my room, she screamed, "Oh no what's wrong!?!?"  I mean she really freaked out.

Once I got her calmed down, I asked her to find the nurse for me 'cause I really needed to pee.  She went out, and lo and behold, no one was around!  Not a soul in sight.

Finally I just said, "Screw this" and got out of bed and went out on my own to hunt for the restroom.  Luckily the IV was on wheels so I could take it with me.

UGH!  Never want to do that again!

Greetings Whacky, I know the feeling
you wouldn't believe the pills there trying to push off on my mom before even trying to find out what's going on, I can not tell you how much mess I've goten out of doctors and I will not even start in on the cost, I would be better off moving to Canada, at least there I don't have to have insurnce in order to get a good doctor.~Silly

Wacky...

WOW...Can I ever relate to these feelings!!  I wanted to study thorasic medicine for most of my life...But then I realized I'd probably end up strangling every single one of the morons...Errr...Um...I meant to say aliens I would have been working with!!!'

I think too many doctors try to play God.  At least Jesus had the love, mercy, kindness, understanding, and compassion to listen to those he healed.

I've been put off by one too many doctors.  Well, never again...Ever!!

Thank you for sharing your insight with me.  Who knows?  Maybe if people like you and I give 'em enough heck, they'll finally learn to pay attention to what we're trying to tell them.  Your mother is so blessed to have you as a daughter...and I am truly blessed to have you as a friend.

God bless you...and thank you.

PS.  Thank you so much for the lovely greeting card you sent me.

The specialists are so specialized they can't relate to other parts of the body. You have a funny way of narrating a nasty incident. ;-)
