Good observation in that last sentence there Quirky.
Sometimes I get the urge to buy stuff that lose their fascination five minutes after I have them in my hand. And then there are those who have to have things because other people have them.

If I want something, I truly need it ...
if Better half wants something, well, she merely wants it. She doesn't need it.

Good for goodwill, though. I think I at least use the things I buy for a while before I get bored and move on to the next one. But I wish I did not have so much of the old stuff cluttering up the place.

That's why I never save for anything...
I figure that I'll work hard saving for something that I really want only to discover that it really doesn't make me very happy and therefore I have wasted my time and effort of saving the money in the first place. I just binge shop when the mood strikes-usually when I am depressed about not having enough money to buy the things that I want because I didn't save....you get the idea.

Quirky
I used to buy things I didn't really need when I was upset or depressed. Shopping therapy.

Ariala,
As long as he wasn't overpriced and you actually get some use out of him, that should be okay, hehe. Fingers crossed.
