Your kind words do mean so much to me. Thank you bunches. It's always nice to know someone cares.
Actually, my doc did mention Valium rather than Xanax, but I opted for the Xanax. It does seem to work for me. And I'm on Lexapro which my doc says is supposed to help anxiety as well as depression.

Dear 211
Jemmie ... you poor thing. I feel ya. While street drugs were my problem, one I've left far behind me, (still coughing up my dust =-) I sooo understand where you are coming from ... completely.
6 months ago, while at work, I sustained a spinal injury to my neck. I've been put on so many damned, different medications since, that for a while, my body didn't know whether to dance, sleep, stare, or simply jump out of it's own skin. Up, down, turn around, grab your pardner, and a do-see-do! It sucks doesn't it?
I have finally found a happy medium, and use my meds according to my own needs, rather than adherance to doc-directives; but Valium, kin to your Xanex (sp?), is one of the most helpful of my muscle relaxants, in that it is a mild dose; and when carefully combined or alternated with, Hydrocodone, and Naproxen, affords me enough comfort to sit at the computer for long hours, and still make sense. So... shblahooislf's;kt'peoti pjtg ... teehee, just kidding.
Because I am out of work, but refuse to waste all my years of management, upward mobility, and hard earned progress in life since my cocaine days of yore, I have used this time to return to college, furthering my education, online. This means near constant licking flames to my neck; and until I found the proper balance with my meds, I too, suffered from horrendous reflux, and other more unmentionable issues. LOL.
While I know our problems are not the same, and do not presume to know what yours are, I do feel for you, and will lift prayers in your name. Just wanted to tell you that someone in cyberland cares for, is thinking of, and praying for you. Have hope. Here's wishing you a "feel better" day! With loving regards ~ peace be to you, Mona - ez
