This is truly a wonderful tradition.....oftentimes it's the people in your life that truly make a difference that are special. Sometimes those are bonded to you by blood, others are there because they truly love you.

True, so true. When I go home to Maui, I stay with my
hānai dad rather than with my mother. It's just more comfortable that way.
