Drugs
Unfortunately drugs of all kinds are everywhere. Even in Hawaii--in our small alcohol- and drug-free town in the "sticks" had problems.
But my main reason for responding here was to talk about one particular small town :
There is a town in California, and the last time I was in this particular town, the Welcome sign read Population: 16.
We'd joke that that count included all the farm animals! hehehe
The town was so small that buildings on the main drag were only fronts! Wooden fronts with nothing behind them but empty space and beams holding up the fronts!
