Go to I WRITE, THEREFORE I AM
- Add a comment
- Go to How much time do YOU spend on blogging and Blogit every week????
Quirky
I spend way too much time on here at the expense of not doing other things.
I figure it averages 4 hours a day in writing and readin and commenting.
It is a discipline that writers need though to make oneself write so I use that as an excuse to keep doing it.
Happy New Year luv

Hey Quirky, I thought blogging was about writing...!
I must spend about 2 or 3 hours a day. But then again, all my writing on blogit, except for my comments, and then sometimes even them, are all part of my larger writing scheme... If I'm going to write, I want it to be publishable... So bloging actualy helps me move my writing along, plus get some feedback on the way...

I think Jems has a good point and a reality check for me, personally!
I used to blog more when it was the "Blogging Network" or aka the "BN" but I'm trying not to be so agressive and obsessive these days. I still check in at least daily on average, but not as I used to. I can now read and comment without feeling an undying need to blog myself everyday.

It depends on the day and on my mood.
Some days I don't log on to Blogit at all--sometimes for lack or time, other times for lack of desire.
There have been times when I don't log on for weeks at a time.
Recently, I've been trying to post more regularly because I have the time and because I actually have something to say.
I know that when I first joined up (back when this place was the Blogging Network and not Blogit) I did spend way too much time here. But the novelty has since worn off. Now I post just when I feel like it.

At a rough guess, I would say between 2 - 3 hours per day (on and off). Of course the fact that my computer is slow accounts for a fair bit of that time!

Holy crap, PoopyH. Now WHY did you make me go and do this?
I just realized this: I've spent an average of 3 hours a day on Blogit. 3x7days= 21 hours. 21 hours x 4 weeks in a month = 84 hours. 84 hours per month x 12 months = 1,008 FREAKIN HOURS!! 1,008 = 42 DAYS!! 42 days a year!! I need to go hit myself in the head with a pan. My God! This is extremely disturbing. The good news is that I've been on Blogit less than my average 3 hours per day cause now, I'm wasting more of my life playing the Sims. Thank you for pointing this out to me. What an epiphany. NOT!!

It's addictive..for sure!
Good post! I probably spend about 2-3 hours on average each day on here. It's not constant..rather back and forth during the day. I miss it if I don't sneak a peak from time to time.

I agree with ya Quirky
When I first started bloging, I didn't spend half as much time as I do on it now. With a years haitus from school and going back in Jan, it's going to be ruff. I'll have to carry around a laptop, so I don't OD from blog-it withdrawnals. lol. Sillysoul~

Hmm...
I've never paid all that much attention to how much time I spend. Probably too much. Although, I make a point of getting everything done for the day before I start blogging. Or, I'll post my stuff for the day, go and get some stuff done, and then come back and comment and stuff. I guess I sort of break it up so that it doesn't interfere with "real life" and writing, and all that good stuff.

It sucks me in like that too. I spend most my blog time reading. Reading 60% commenting 10% writing 30% total weekly time about seven hours, which I also find is not the most productive use of my time. It is relaxing and fun. I first thought it would be this great tool to loosen up my writing. I think we get hooked in by the interaction most of all. I don't sign on in the evening- that's my assigned real writing time, and mostly not on weekends.

Quirky - I have blogit on the entire work day. I'd say every fifteen
minutes or so I'll check my new comments and the new posts. If I see anything that catches my interest, I'll read and respond to it. Like this post for instance!
