Thanks, Jimmy. Wish there were a way you guys could
actually hear me but I'm too computer illiterate to figure out how to load any video or other tape onto the web. Got the software, just not the knowledge!

Now that is wack! I'd have complained!!
Anyway...just before Christmas, December 11th to be exact, there was a local drawing for $5,000 big ones.  I REALLY could have used that money to pay off some credit cards!  My daughter, who is only 6, keeps going on about how I only missed it by "that much"...sounds like Maxwell Smart sometimes! LOL

good question
i'll have to think on it

Exactly, ThomasF, I agree.
The audience seemed to favor me and at least they did show their disapproval when I lost. That said enough to me...and probably the judge and "winner" fiance!

Rach, I am the same way in certain aspects!
I was really confident of at least a good shot at that singing contest, though!! I just wonder if I would have won if the contest wasn't biased by that judge.  ??

Justice-I would like the courts to rule according to the law and Constitution and recognize my Rights instead of playing politics. But, I'll be dead and buried before that happens. For the record, concerning your story-I don't like judged events-timed events are better. Who can argue with a clock? Horse shows are full of judges promoting their friends.

Damn...

That doesn't seem fair!

I haven't really ever had the experience of not winning something I tried for.  Not because I'm that good or because I try a lot.  It's the opposite, actually.  I'm such a perfectionist that I don't try unless I know I can win!  :)

Gypsy, ahhhhh, a woman after my own heart!
I try once in a while. Sometimes it's worth a shot!

Spitfire..
The lottery! I've only tried once... never wasted my money after that. But I'd have loved to win it!

Jem, Isn't it weird how we remember stuff like that from way back?
Aw, but you're a good speller.

Spelling Bee
In grade school I lost a spelling bee.  I've been self-conscious about my spelling ever since.
