canine,
oh....I'm speechless...that, plus I wonder how "Mickey" lost his leg!! BTW, I have a cat named Mickey, and I named him that because he squeaked like a little mouse!

I've been there
Once upon a time I had a puppy who loved to go find things in the back yard, and bring them home. I believe that you know the puppy of which I speak, and thank you for awakening in me another memory... Anyway, one time my daughter was playing in our family room when said puppy brought her a present. As I entered the room dog and baby girl were watching a three legged mouse run in circles. AND each time Mickey tried to get away dog would smack him back on track for girl. I told you they were best friends...

Quirky,
Trust me, hun, I've been there!  Dead rats, dead birds . . . no gophers, though--probably because we don't have them in Hawaii.

Justsouno.
That's all well and good but in the middle of the night, unfortunately, I have no control over what gets brought in for a late-night snack!

Q
This gave me such a laugh. I have a cat and I check what trophy she wants to bring mama before I even open the door. I do understand. J
