Benzinha,
we are not big into halloween, but it is slowly making headway among the middle class and above. Anyone who can afford to attend a costume party is into Halloween here.

Friarcito, I especially miss reading your posts, they make me feel good.
Has the Christmas music started yet? We are deep into Halloween here, stored full of candy and children's costumes and scarey make-up.
I thought that I might dress as a Weapon of Mass Destruction for Halloween and show my passport as proof that I haven't been to Iraq in years....I usually do some political costume.
I miss you. Reading you.

shavonne, how are the civilians treating you? Miss the discipline??!?!?
What are you doing with your days? I need to go read and see if you are still writing in your non-military posts now. Thanks for sticking with me in civilian life.

Lady Kenobi and Ca88andra, I thank you both for reading me, still, tho' I
have not had one moment to read anybody myself. Feeling guilty here. I get up and paint and then grab some food, go online to read email and do office work and then stop by Blogit for just a minute to thank my readers and then crash on the futon in a dog pile with Makeda and Autumn, then up and going again in the a.m.
Tomorrow it 's the post office and burning more cd's and then I have to go selling what little I have (at wholesale, rats!!) and then go pay the landlord, pick up my clay order and run right back home to paint one last storyteller before jumping back into clay production. NO TIME, I have no time anymore to indulge my reading and writing.
Thanks for your encouragement. I shall read you while I'm in Mexico, where I have to go to see about opening a factory on a dime and a prayer, or finding backers down there or up here. Running crazy. No time.

Jemmie, I have been burning candles ever since your email. I reread the
poem that I wrote for my father when he died, because you lost yours and I wanted to remember how I felt back then. I am so sorry.
I hope that you are taking a little bit better care of your health, even in your despair. A few days ago we, in Tucson, lost the mother of a young man who was killed in Iraq. The shock, sorrow and despair took her away to join him. Do not feel that sad, I pray. I shall go pray over the Virgen's candle right now for your sorrow to lift a little tiny bit and give you back some life in your day.

beachbelle, tell me your transportation story, please. Working in clay
can mean that my pieces will last forever like the bowls which turn up in archeological digs 10,000 years later or they seem to die immediately, knocked over by dusting housemaids, children's soccer balls and cats on furniture or by mailmen in the delivery process.

maj, I didn't tell my paint story very well, then, no? Make up? Maybe! It's
such a lovely color of suntanned brown. I suppose that I could begin to paint myself with it and have an overall solid color, rather than these old age spots cropping up all over the place.....hmmmm.
I do have a cooler, a hard one on wheels with a handle for dragging it and could use it, I suppose. Human Heart, might be a better label as that is what it will contain.
I sat painting non-stop all day, thirteen hours and only stopped just now to wolf down a can of tropical fruit chunks before going to bed. Ran out of cigarettes and didn't die without them, though I just tiptoed into my son's room and stole one of his cinnamon Indonesian cigarettes (while he slept) which taste more like doughnuts than cigarettes!! Tasted like breakfast. I could smoke them and give up eating, I do believe.

I am sooooo glad things are working well for you!
Your good luck gives me a spark of hope. I am so happy to read your happy thoughts and happenings--they put a much-needed smile on my face.
Abuelita, will you light a candle for me? I need to get rid of some of my saddness. It's getting overwhelming.

That chap is being nice about raising his payment and I believe that others would do too which might help to ease the pressure a little. Yes the artist's lot is beset by problems of transportation. There is a little story I must tell you about that.

hooray for the good guys, er, gals...
I thought yhou were initially talking about makeup base, not paint! Gallon bucket...wow.....use a sprayer by the makeup mirror?
Consider a plastic cooler/ice chest for moving stuff. You can buy them used cheap, sometimes with wheels, they resist abuse, and they have a latch of sorts which you can back up with some self-sticky velcro, a luggage strap, etc. PLUS, when handlers see an ice chest very professionally marked "This Side Up" and "Fragile", they tend to take more notice, afraid it will spill or a human head will roll out or something.(Mark it "Human Head" and see what happens...just kidding
).
Keep it up, B!!
