Yes,
My husband does the same thing, turning over and pulling everything with him.  I've had that very same fishy feeling about it.  I cling to the covers with my fingertips or I won't have any!  So, he sleeps on the right, huh?  Guess my theory is flawed.  But to meet the criteria, you have to have been dating in the '60s or so.

Witchflower,
I don't know about creeping mattress pads, but my boyfriend does pull the covers with him when he rolls over.  I picture it like a big fish turning in the water and creating a wash. I have to hang onto the covers, too, which  is interesting because he always says I'm the one hogging the covers. Otherwise, we're blissfully happy.  He does sleep on the right, so there goes that theory.

I noticed that every evening before he goes to bed, my husband pulls the foam pad over more on my side.  I told him he doesn't need to do that.  He said if he doesn't the whole thing will end up on the floor next to his side of the bed.  I can't figure out why it "walks" like this.  The so-called egg-carton foam never did, and it had a smooth bottom.  Maybe it's something to do with the cover that came with the pad.

Do you like the featherbed otherwise?

We're still sleeping well, though, so we're happy with that.  The cats seem to enjoy it, too.  They are comfort gluttons, so a pretty good ruler to measure by.

I have a similar problem with my featherbed.

I ordered a featherbed for my queen size mattress and it was also much smaller than the bed.  There is about 4 inches of space on each side of the featherbed.  It has never stretched out or anything.  In fact, when I washed the cover, it actually got smaller.

Oh well, I just have to snuggle closer to my husband then! lol

Funny how the bed is made

without the comfort when laid.
