Jemmie - I have read your tribute to your dad. It made me cry. It was
wonderful. Of course it reminded me of my own dad in many ways. It made me look above my computer to the wall where I have pictures of him and my mom. But, back to you. I'm sure you will cry while you are trying to speak before people tonight, but that is what it is all about. Remembering, sharing and crying, loving together over a void that cannot ever be filled by anyone else. My love and prayers are with you.

I know what you say is true. I believe it myself, in fact. I have been trying to stay strong. I have been trying to remember the good times. And I have been trying to laugh as much as I can.
Still it's tough. Losing Daddy is one of the hardest things I'll ever have to face.

I know this is difficult to say, but:
a departing soul would very much prefer to see joy for them on our faces when we look at them going amongst other souls. If they know that we are so sad, they departure from us is much much harder.
