Good gracious, don't tell me Kennedy got your mother pregnant, too!

My mother was pregnant with my older sister at the parade scene of President Kennedy's demise.  I suppose history generally hits the mark.

Mark, as a guy who is always on top of everything (girls mostly), I'm surprised at you. You are 2 hurricanes behind. Better hurry or you'll be three behind. But, I suppose, when you've seen one hurricane, you've seen them all: elec out, no phones, long gas lines, wadded up homes and uprooted trees. Geesh! I need a good flooding disaster in the midwest or an earthquake in sunny southern Cal. I always did want to meet Jimmy68.

Scoopy-doo ~  Everything's fine now, but I can't make any promises for Sunday.  I've got friends that took a direct hit from Frances, and Hurricane Jeanne is tracked to hit them...again.  A lot of them are bailing out right now (it's about 10-deep at the gas pumps).  Almost all of them were out of power for 13 or 14 days, which pretty much sucks moose-dick.  Personally, I think it'll take a little southwesterly jog and hit Palm Beach or here head-on -- it's a very odd storm.

Fortunately, the Mark2556 Human Behavior Research Center is gased up, stocked up and as fucked up as always. Drug contributions are always welcome, though.

Giddyup!

OK, Jeannne is forecast to be a carbon-copy of Frances, so just scroll down a half-dozen posts and start over. I've gotta find my Beefaroni casserole cookbook.

Lakeland and Ft. Myers (Ft. Myers more so than Lakeland) were messed up pretty good by Hurricane Charley, but that was in August.  They didn't get battered too badly by Frances (the last one).  Or Ivan (the current one).  Or Jeanne (the next Hurricane of the Week, currently near the Dominican Republic).

O MY GOD.

Do you know how the Lakeland area fared?  And Ft. Myers?  I have friends in both locations...

bag of Snausages Thumper won't eat, sardines, Hi-C, Lime Jell-O, Pistachio pudding, YooHoo, and a bunch of other crap I can't stand, to you a.s.a.p.  Also large bag of pet hair I was using on my pet hair diet. That and spit can be used to reinforce your wee abode.

Enjoy. Kick Ivan in the nuts for me.

So are you going to use those guns to shoot at Ivan?  And don't tell me, it was a frickin' woman who parked that car under a horizontal tree, wasn't it?  Btw, I heard that Ivan will probably collapse into smaller, far less powerful winds by the time it reaches shore. But just to be on the safe side, give me your address and I'll send you all the supplies you're going to need, including a particular livestock I know you've had your eye on.  Hoo

Twistaroni. Available in Tomato & Beef, Cheesy Nacho and Chili Cheese Dog.  Which is pretty much why it's totally unsnortable.

But it's still a pretty good buzz if you smoke it.

Don't blame you, it's actually quite tolerable.   My kids like the stuff!

RachelAnna ~  Great news!  My neighbor found the latex cheerleader outfit stuck to the side of his house. And it looks even better all wet!

posted by mark2556 on September 8, 2004 at 4:34 PM | link to this | reply

Melody ~  Yep, you'd better get to the store, like, right now, and get some stuff, if you haven't already.  And gas in the vehicles.  Waiting in line is a real drag.  And, the financial sytems get all verloaded, so you gotta pay cash inside the gas station, just to make the ordeal a touch more frustrating.

So, don't wait.  Get some money out, too, 'cause those ATM's don't work worth a darn with no power.

Oh, yeah.  Beefaroni.  If you shop around you can get it in the 5-gallon barrels.

It looks bad, I am really sorry, Just waiting for Ivan! Hope he doesn't come this way but since I am in the panhandle It sure looks that way. How about some cheap property in FL? Good Luck to you. I am in the middle of seeling my house here and just finishing building my new house. It will be done at the end of Sept! I hate these hurricanes!
