I agree with Spitfire.  Especially since it's chemically controlled, this is a physical illness.  It just manifests in emotional festering instead of physical infection.  How old is your daughter?  Is she old enough to comprehend what she has to deal with, and that it will be for the rest of her life?

Make2short, I wish there was something I could say or offer you that may
help. I must say, though, you are a great mother to your daughters. I've been following your "diary log" and I just feel bad. I was diagnosed with bio-chemical severe depression many years ago and I know how hard it is when I am not "right" at times...however, I don't know it at the time. I agree with you about the psychiatrist situation. I feel NO psychiatrist should not have a backup doctor! Mental illness is the same type of illness as any general practitioner or specialist doctor...it's just that the mentally ill show differently than say diabetics or cancer patients. It's not right. Hang in there.
