Spitfire

I know there is nothing much I can say to make it better, but please accept my thoughts and wishes for things to look a little brighter soon.

Symphony, thank you and actually, I've been thinking about you a lot lately
How is everything at home?? I have to catch up on my reading these days. Things have been so nuts for me lately with Brittany, the hurricane, work, etc. I feel a bit out of the loop as far as some of my favorites' lives!

Aaaahh.... SpitFire. I am so sorry to hear this. Our pets are more than...
that word signifies. They are our freinds. Our cat communicates easily with us and we with her. Anybody who says animals are any less worthy of respect and care than people ... well... I hope things work out for you and your pooch.

Whim, thanks for sharing that with me.
Unfortunately, I have to deal with the euthanizing of people's pets quite often and it's never easy, but when it's their time, it is so humane. People should have it the same way if they choose! No soul wants to suffer.

Thank you so much Shadow.
It's so sweet of you. Lots of love to you and Purr Purr. Things like this kinda jump-start your thoughts about your own pets, doesn't it?

My neighbor
My neighbor went through cancer with her retriever, Max, a couple of years ago.  She spent a mortgage payment each month on medication for him.  Finally, after it became obvious he was miserable and in capable of normal activity, the vet came to the house.  They took Max out in the back yard.  I went over to comfort my neighbor while the doctor gave her pet a shot.  My neighbor held Max and stroked him until he fell asleep.  His pain was over.  It was a very dignified, reaffirming ceremony.  I feel honored to have been allowed to be there for both the pet and the owner.

Spitfire,

How I wish there was someway I can help you out girl. My heart breaks to hear this news about Brit. I think I would be unable to bear anything happening to Purr Purr right now. I've been thinking lots about you and Brit since you told us. I went and held Purr close after I finished reading stuff and just planted soft kisses on her little forehead and nose. Write if you need to talk sweetie. I'll sure listen. Give Brit a hug and kiss for me. love shadow
