Very common
So many of my students write about it and the guilt they feel. Somehow the abuser always makes the victim feel it is her/his fault. That's how they get away with it. Awful.

That's really sad...
Sexual abuse is something that usually scars people for life. Thankfully, your cousin has you in her life to empathize with her...
