Sue, it's okay.
I don't really know the whole story, but I believe you tried to do what you thought is best.  Shadow is strong and determined and has lots of people who care about her.  We'll figure it out, right?

Temply,

Oh class is held every two years, it's due this spring, I will try to get my professor to send you a copy or send it to me to send it to you. He wrote the book himself, he's a musican and song writer, so book is less than $10.00, great book, good history on all southern music. Shadow

Temple,

Yeah, I can relate to that very well. I had a class called "Sociology of Souther Music" and we discussed at length the beginning of the blues and jazz and its really cool to learn how so many of those songs actually came into exsistence as well as the musical notes and the instruments that they used. Great class. Matter of fact I sent a copy of the textbook to Sherlock, he loved it. Maybe someday I can get a copy to you when the class is taught again. Shadow

Shadow, for me, this music is connected to my muse somehow.
My soul's sound.  The quiet place where I write and think and examine.

Temple,

I love Memphis. Its a city filled with a wonderful culture that only New Orleans can equal, but a lot closer. I love jazz and blues and the old sounds of the horn. Could dance all night to it. Shadow

Memphis, the blues, the jazz of that city. That's where this poem takes me. To a culture of passion and life. Shadow
