I plan to have my next baby at home. I was afraid my kids weren't ready,
but my 5 year old will lay on the floor next to our mama and kitten combo with her ear to the floor. If you ask her what she's doing, she'll tell you she's listening to Lucky nurse. While Muffin was pregnant with him, Mia would lay still as a statue and feel the babies. I think she'd be fine. Plus, I'm a quiet, fast birther, so I don't think it'll be a problem. However, I could see her doing this very routine....oy.
