Ouch, I feel for ya, but like you said, it WAS your fault!
I got a scratch just like that when I stupidly held a piece of turkey under Rocky's nose and didn't drop it in time.

Had Chochi scratched J instead of me, he'd have almost hit her (I always stop him--his anger, though VERY short-lived--is fierce), but I would have stopped him.
