Thank you so much! I'm flattered. And your "handle" suits you so well. Thanks to you, too Raven D, even though I'm a little confused about what you were saying exactly. (Just got home after a LONG ass day at work) so my mind is a bit tired right now!

Evolve the arguement back to its truest form and ascertain whether you place actions in the realm of deliberate gender. Neither view is that bi-polar these days. Terrific thread though.

They are not mocking you
You are putting your own reaction onto them, and calling it intent. They are being themselves - nothing more, nothing less.

What about a giant Pillsbury Doe Boy? Or, wait, how 'bout a Big Bloat Float? Get some sleep!!

Jimmy- Gotcha, pal!!

I see your point Spitfire...

that one's going to be a tough row to hoe with a lot of people though, the most flamboyant amongst the gay population also tend to be the most militant, witness the Dykes on Bikes phenomena...

Same goes when any oppressed minority takes on the disparaging plumage and idiom that they have been feathered with and makes it their own as a badge of pride...it can be silly indeed, but they at least take it seriously...

I must be tired
I understand the seriousness of the point you are trying to make, but I lost it on the "tub of butter" thing, and I am lmaopimp. Its been a long day, and I had one to many cups of java. Great post as I'm writing through tears running down my face from laughing so hard. Imagine trying to say this to someone, and expecting them not to laugh. I'm sorry- still laughing.
