Hello, goodbye
Strange as that sounds, I'm happy to be able to say it for now.  I'm glad you're seriously considering a return.  I wish you a happy vacation.  And a happy life even if you decide not to rejoin us.  Not returning would make many of us sad, but we realize that you must put yourself and real life first.  We just miss your gracious presence so much, and I, at least, selfishly want you back.  I miss my friend and her pictures and stories.

Notapoet, I think it may be...
I wish I hadn't changed my name to Goodbye.  Now I'm stuck with it for a while.  I've had a good weekend and I think I want to come back.  But maybe I should take the full two weeks as a vacation from blogging, if I can go that long without posting a blog.  I need to rearrange my priorities.  Blogging needs to be lower on that list of priorities, and home, work, and my spiritual life, indeed--In a sense I need to get a life (including getting out and doing things outside in my garden and/or going out with friends just to have some fun) need to be higher on it.  If I do come back I think I'll be a better person for having taken a little time away.  I didn't plan to come back when I cancelled my membership.  I didn't even plan to begin commenting again. But I'm glad I did.  I realized I needed to say goodbye to some friends.  And who knows, maybe I will be saying hello again before long.

bp, goodbye seems wrong to me,

whatever you decide, I'll honor your wishes.  But if you have any doubts at all, I urge you to stay until you're sure of what you want to do.  Always remember that you have helped make this a better place.  I would like to see you enjoy the fruits of that labor.  But most of all I want you to feel comfortable with what you do with your life.  Yay or nay, you'll always hold a treasured spot in my heart and mind.  Thank you, Bren, for making my life a little better.

Notapoet,
almost you have persuaded me to stay.  I thank you.  I can't say yet what I will do, but I have been outside, planting flowers, and the tears have stopped.  The spring flowers are coming up and about to bloom.  Life is good.  I feel like blogging about how good life is.  But I will wait and still do some thinking, and we'll see.  Thanks again, my friend!

goodbye, we seem to be crossing amongst my blogs.

Let me just say that I believe you are a very special person.  If I'm half the person you think I am, its in no small part due to your wonderful influence on me.  Contact me anytime while you're still with us and I'll reply as soon as I find your message.  Don't let me keep you from your duties of the moment or the future.  Just let me say one more sentence for now:

I believe you're loved by many more than just me -- many more than you probably think.

I believe...
This is one of your best blogs.  I believe you are a pretty wonderful person with a good heart.  I believe I am going to miss you.

Thank you for your comment and observaions.  I like that, "choices."  I agree with your application of these choices, and I think you show wisdom in your words.

I read something not long ago...
that expressed more or less those same beliefs as choices. I choose to believe these things, not because they are necessarily true, but because they should be and they are worthy of belief, and worthy of living by even if your life is made more difficult therefore...

Thank you, write4u
Although I can claim few of those virtues for myself, I do believe in them.  We can but try to live up to our ideals and, being human, all too often fall short.  But its the trying that counts.

Do unto others, Dave, as you would have them do unto you.
Better words to live by I've never heard.  Thanks for reading and commenting.

NOT,what a beautiful post!

I just knew there were people out there who still give a dam about integrity, charachter, and moral fiber.

I believe that man has the infinite power within him to right the wrongs of the world............all he needs is the will to do it.

Nice to be reminded of the important things. I don't know what The Golden Rule is though.
