The spelling checker missed a word. Is this a trend? Is there a limit on

the number of words it will check.  I had lots of names in my entry....  The misspelled word was "civiisation" or something like that.  I'd left a letter out of civilization was all, but I get a shudder knowing that the spelling checker missed it.
