Whew, for a second there I thought it was time for MNF. But it’s not quite that time yet. We are not far off though. I can’t wait for that time. It is 90° right now. We had no rain today. So it was hot and dry. I am going to water as little as I can, but if things are going to survive some watering... Sign in to see full entry.

Sunday’s Scorchings
It’s a fine Sunday here in Texas. We have 95° and still pretty arid conditions. I have watered my lawn and garden today. Watering from what the city provides us with keeps the plants alive, but they sure don’t thrive. I wonder what that water does to our bodies? I surely don’t drink it. If it can’t... Thursday’s Truisms
It’s Thursday evening at the Ol’ Rooster homestead. We have our usual warm temp, 89°, along with some dry weather. We have had rain in the area as of late so the aquifer is rising and water restrictions are not a factor right now. Today I started my new job at work. I did fine. I will just have to... Wednesday Worries
It is a hot Wednesday evening here in San Antonio. The day also felt like a Monday. I will be happy when Wednesday, well Friday, comes along. I was supposed to start a new job at work today, but my boss was not in. I am not looking forward greatly to my new position, but I will do fine in it. I... Sign in to see full entry.

Tuesday Trepidations
I use the word "trepidations" in my title because those old, bad North Koreans have me trembling in my boots! Along with some other thing I will mention I think that word is apt albeit in a tongue-in-cheek manner. We are having some rain in South Central Texas right now. It is heavy in some parts of... The Democrats Think The Supreme Court.....
The Democrats are all agog over the "rebuke" the Supreme Court handed President Bush with its decision on military tribunals last week. A closer look at the ruling shows just how illegal the ruling was and how this will turn out to be a large blessing for the Republicans. Military tribunals have... Sign in to see full entry.

Supreme Court Hands Texas Democrats A Great Victory!
Well, at least that’s the way the Democrats see it. After studying the rulings it’s kind of hard to figure out how they are coming to that conclusion. Also, some of the logic used to give the Democrats this great victory is mystifying to me. Several years ago the Republicans gained control of both... Sign in to see full entry.

Wednesday’s Waxing
I have a dream in which I’d be "waxing" poetic with my writing. For now I will just have to settle for this bit of mangled wordmanship to try and get my thoughts and ideas across. In the very near future I can hopefully write eloquently for all to read. I have a few ideas I want to jot down right... Sign in to see full entry.

Tuesday’s Tremors
It is a fine Tuesday evening here in the great state of Texas. Our current temperature is 89°. It is heading down to a low in the upper 60’s for the night. There will not be much humidity either. So that is nice. I have made two of my five work days this week. That is not too bad. I just might be... Sign in to see full entry.

Monday Night Meanderings
I made my work Monday. Now I am at home writing a bit for the night. I have done most of my animals duties, eaten, and showered. I am ready to enjoy a peaceful rest of the evening and then move on to a good night’s sleep. I will give my usual great commentary on news of the day and more if it... Sign in to see full entry.
