I got up at four am to put hubby on to plane. His Grandmother died at age 102. She had taught him in the rural three roomed schoolhouse for a few years so he really wanted to pay his respects. It doesn't give him much time to be with his children, but his ties to the past are stronger than his ties... Sign in to see full entry.

The craziness has started in earnest. Bronchitis and Christmas and company. Ben is also down with a cold--but so far it's only a cold. I'm on antibiotics and extra prednisone so I'm standing and I'm supposed to be taking 3 nebulizer treatments a day to prevent pneumonia but I'm only making two. Amy... Sign in to see full entry.

Power was at his command, his soldiers filled the land Ready to fill his command. I carried a king, in search of a dream, I... Sign in to see full entry.

A Christmas Story (part two)

Telemachus stamped his hoof. "Quiet! Humph. So, you think its all a nice story. Just a nice bedtime story." "Uhhuh, said the baby lamb. "As in Peter and the Wolf?" Telemachus asked. "Yes, yes, yes," spluttered the hen. Telemachus snorted "Humph! Dreadful stuff. Enough to give one nightmares!... Sign in to see full entry.

A Christmas Story

Someone asked what we do for Christmas. When the kids were very small we used to get dressed up in bathrobes and material scraps to act out the Christmas story on Christmas Eve with hubby being the donkey. When they were older I wrote out this story of the animals retelling the events of that... Sign in to see full entry.

I had to play at a funeral yesterday. It was a small one at the funeral home but it had a peacful, spiritual feeling to it--until a cell phone rang out loud and clear. And five minutes later, another one. Aaargh!!! What is with people? Lately at church someone's phone goes off at least once. Are we... Sign in to see full entry.

Last week William jumped right into bed and jumped right back out again. "Mom," he called as he wandered back into the living room. "Do you have any suggestions for getting ants out of a clock?" Seems a bunch of red ants had started a colony in his alarm clock. "They're attracted by the warmth of... Sign in to see full entry.
