Crocodile Tears

The way the wind blows The way storms roar The way thunder claps For lighting its path The way heavy rain slows Becoming drizzle The way things calm After the initial alarm The way you smile after A few sparkling tears The way this putty Made man, still! In the palm of your hand Willingly fooled by The flash of those Brown jeweled eyes The way, never mind Oh sweet Crocodile-tears Sign in to see full entry.

Close shave-way home

Old Harwich Port Town Through tobacco smoke I could just make out scared faces some young mostly old! Smiling mouths singing with pint jugs held high, of bloody stories told, brawling loving hard faced seamen whom have wandered and wobbled the red cobblestones of Harwich Port Town Of the illegal bordello how once ones had he’s fun and been plied with cheep rum how Big Ginger Liz with smiling green eyes would flutter them red with razor sharp surprise poor fellow left with no throat or peace pipe... Happy Go Lucky

Happy Go Lucky I have floated near and far happy I am and lucky jumping blind from family tree, advice and wisdom I left behind, death don’t worry me happy I am and lucky Landing cuddled on lush green happy I am and lucky Now though like a pointing compass I look back, through the storms and stories told now in truth what do I behold? Happy I am and lucky Nothing, no leaf left upon my family tree their swaying branches creaking cries never reaching my parties of in-crowd! Loud my death heart... Sign in to see full entry.

Smiling Chestnuts

Smiling Flame Upon red embers I did lay my garden spade for I was sternly told! ‘’Definitely not my favourite frying pan,’ The spade glowed in mouth watering aroma chestnuts roasting ‘’No scotch tonight!’ Announced my common-law wife one large steaming pot of calamine tea should help put you right Sipping and crunching this unusual fireside snack when Tina suddenly begun a low pitched stutter ‘’Over there Mike look a smiling flame, amongst coals dancing glowing embers for its stage.’ Well we... Windy chimneys and fools like me

Making Good Use Of My Own Incompetence The wind gusts howled, baritone deep from bass then around and around in soprano sound, smoky spooky hollow melody of different notes echoing their haunting whistling solo similar to tenor trombone gushing tunes blowing through thee old redbrick chimneystack Staring glowing with wide opened mouth upon what was now my smoldering thick slice, of whole mill brown bread buttered in dripping fingers, that held an old ion poker instead I know, I thought, I should... Thoroughbred Nightmare

Thoroughbred Of Nightmares Windswept, leafless branches that only blossom dark in gloom ivy intertwining holding carefully this hidden damp-bed of unwanted memory firmly in it’s terrifying forgotten hollow Cold flames burning dreams empty with wishes bright, lighting up the black soulless eyes of the rippling muscled beast This Thoroughbred Of Nightmares Though this time in steel like trance bravely we stride towards the place and time of dreadful happening roping its rearing head ripping the... The thought of one simple man

A Thought From One Simple Man About Nothing One canvas black and empty that spanned the first eternity before the first created brush stroke of creation! Creating the first creation of something Then the first artist (The Great Creator) must of dwelled lonely, within the great expanse of the Nothing, or is the word we call Nothing That what is all around us that what we don’t see held within empty, what we breath If I know the Great Creator whom I worship! He has a sense of humour Smiling every... Sign in to see full entry.

Poor Creeping Me

No wish in turning round As I walk this new path unworn by my two creeping shoes holed leaking soul that once strode in pride just a little way back upon the warn part of my track Seeing tears only dripping from the eyes of others hearts breaking, forced open chests of the gullible, never innocent once in my glare keeping my own locked away, blinding the minds of those, whom searched for the hidden key amongst straw looking for hay Never noticing black clouds forming skies awaiting sunset... I Love You

Oh for one more torn strip of paper For one more splash of ink For one more slow dance held Within my arms For one more brush of lips For one more soft stained Letter of our love For just one more... I miss you yet you are here I need you but you are gone I love you, I love you Sign in to see full entry.

Round, Round

Backstroking round, round my living citadel round, round this last refuge round, round eyes squinting making out shadows round, round through straining tired lids Circling smiling last offer of peace between their sharp beaks round, round my white garment I waved nearly drowned, shrieking round, round banshee swooping down Breaststroke heart-pumping, I’m now enjoying warring adrenalin beating drum though my ankles, caught stinking swamp weed I will never front-crawl Sign in to see full entry.
