Arise like this

T he walls shudder, The window taps. The wind whistles, The shutter flaps, Lighting flashes So wild, So bright. I don't think we'll Find any sleep tonight. The cats scatter, And the window shakes To the thud and thunder That August makes. The lamps all flicker With the thickening hush As the wind In it's driving, And natural rush Draws on the lantern And drinks in its light, Bathing this small Empty room In its pale Shell of night.
