Inner Strength

Years have passed but I still recall that dreadful summer day, The day you said you were leaving, going your own separate way I came home to find your suitcase placed outside the bedroom door You were sitting in the kitchen, keys in hand, staring at the floor I asked you what was happening, why you packed, and where you had to go You asked me to sit down, said there was something I needed to know You said it was no one’s fault, some things were not meant to be That you tried to make it work,...
