A great movie for those of us that flirt with writing. Speaking for myself that is. First, the previews are misleading. I expected a frantic, over the top Will Farrell trying to find the voice of the writer in his head, the writer that intends to kill him. What we get instead is a measured... Newborn abandoned in bed of pickup truck found frozen
However, this was not the first newborn found abandoned in the town of Orosi, California. The first was found on an outdoor bench wrapped in a blanket, umbilical cord still attached to his body. Eleven months later, another was found in a parked pickup truck. The last was Dec. 3 rd, wrapped in a... Sign in to see full entry.

Reality check -What’s the deal?
Now you hand the cashier a check, they run it through a machine that voids it and hand it back to you. You sign a receipt and are on your way. What gives? One might as well just use a debit card and save the paper. That’s where this is going after all. Only, not everyone is doing that process, just... Sign in to see full entry.

Chocolate Jesus gives Catholics the Heebie Jeebies.
An anatomically correct Chocolate sculpture of Jesus has been created for the Easter season. The sculpture by Cosimo Cavallaro is called, “My Sweet Lord.” And no, the sculpture does not have a loincloth, so it will be obvious to all that this chocolate work is a Peter Paul, since according to the... The salt of the Earth
Trans fats are on their way out of our lives. Now the new villain is salt, yes, good old Sodium Chloride, NaCl. I have been avoiding salt for many years now as a preventive measure to help control my blood pressure. But only lately have I really been a Salt Nazi. For a while I was really thinking... That’s entertainment.
The audience booed the villain, then clapped and cheered for the hero. With all the modern methods to distract our minds, here we were in an old Grange Hall watching a live performance with no Dolby enhanced surround sound, no DVD player and attendant pause function, no hi-definition screen, only... Why do we blog, really?
You do it, I do it, but do we, down deep, actually know what it is we are trying to accomplish with these blogs? After all, my spell-check doesn’t recognize the word blog. To get a definition, I suppose one could go to Wikepedia for the straight poop. But this blog isn’t really about that. Blogs run... Sign in to see full entry.

Movie Review Babel
Webster’s says it best, “a confusion of voices, sounds, etc or the scene of this.” Not only is this movie confusing, it appears to be deliberately confusing. Time lines blur inexplicably, relationships of scenes and characters are left nebulous, I suppose “for you to figure out.” This picture was... Sign in to see full entry.

The good and bad of medical procedures
The tiny camera peers into one’s colon, going where no star cruiser has gone before. It’s not a pretty thing to endure, the only semi-enjoyable thing is the “conscious sedative” they give you right before the dr. says, “open wide and say ‘ah’”. Apparently you can respond to commands but you don’t... Sign in to see full entry.
