Fall

The days have grown shorter The sun is setting early The stars appearing brighter The breeze is crisp and bitter Fall has just begun The leaves are starting to fall Turning a bright orange and deep red The air is starting to fill With the scent of wood burning These are the signs of the new season The season of warm fires Bigger and warmer sweaters Where scarecrows and pumpkins Are part of everyday life Where children around the country Dress up as witches and goblins Or even their favorite... Forgiving/Forgetting

I have forgiven people for so many things Some broke my heart with deceit and lies Some did unthinkable things And even though the years have passed I have never forgotten They don’t haunt my dreams They don’t interfere with my life They are distant memories I hold no grudges I do not judge For it is not my place Some I remained close to Others have disappeared I am not angry I am not sad I live my life to the fullest And with no regrets For these people have taught me things How to survive How...
