Children at Funerals

Children at funerals, and I'm thinking children under 13 or so, are generally bored and don't know what is going on. However, they seem to be the vital link between life and death, reminding those attending the funeral that life goes on. Their antics can sometimes bring smiles where moments earlier... Make Up . . .

I realize there is an art to making up the dead, but the women I have seen during viewing periods generally have to much and too thick make-up. Perhaps it is necessary; I'm certainly not an expert, but it seems eerie to me, particularly if the person did not use much make-up when they were alive. Sign in to see full entry.

Wondering about the staff

Wouldn't it be interesting to hear what the staff of a funeral home have to say about the deceased as they work on them? If there is such a thing as a soul, does it get to watch the embalming process? How long does a soul hang around its body after death, assuming there is such a thing as a soul? The Death Shows

Speaking of fun and death, two of my favorite shows are "Six Feet Under" and "Dead Like Me." The characters and the stories are interesting, and the writing is well above that found on pablum-network television. Of the two, I like "Dead Like Me" best, but both are well worth watching. It's been a while for me
