Thursday, February 16, 2006EDUCATION - 1926 STYLEA 90 year old woman celebrated her birthday by quoting to us all 48 lines of Longfellow's poem, The Village Blacksmith. She said she was required to memorize the poem in the fifth grade. Most of us present at this celebration were babyboomers and we were amazed at her memory -- she did not make one...
