Why are we so hard on ourselves?

Years go in college, my drawing teacher instructed the class to show him a line with character, and then arrogantly walked out of the room with no more explanation. Imaging...don't you just love to doodle?

This was done in the Paint File of my computer. The above was pulled of my subconscious, quite unintended. Big surprise to me. I see myself hiding behind bangs, and I see mom laying down to the desires of others. I see my pop watching over for me from the city that never sleeps in heaven. I see... Using imagery as a remedy for what is ailing you...
