Back in the saddle again...

Well, here I am at last - back in the saddle again, so to speak. After dealing with my husband's nasty bout of Influenza, the death of a close friend, and then my own bout of that nasty little pervasive bug.... I am finally able to write again. Having the "flu" is bad enough, but when you have MS it... Sign in to see full entry.

Well, today is the final day in a very long two weeks for me. I've dealt with my son in Iraq and his wish to no longer be married, my second son who is in prison because of drugs, my third son who is doing very well in college but is hearing impaired and having a hard time dealing with insensitive... I'm back....

Well, after some time away I'm back and ready to write and share. I enjoy my time here on Blogit but have found that life can, and will, get in the way. So, on to more interesting things. My son, who is stationed in Iraq, has been reassigned back to the motorpool. He's not real happy but I am... Sign in to see full entry.

The Uphill climb....

Well, here I am fighting another uphill battle. This one is for my grandson and I'm really pissed off. This goes back to his other grandparents who decided to hand him over to DHS. I'm not sure why, but it's either because they wanted him out of their lives or they were trying to punish their... Sign in to see full entry.

Today was a good day...

The past few weeks have been a bit tough on me and, after having read through what I've written, my posts seem a bit dark. Yes, sometimes my life does seem that way, I'm sure that everyone's does on occasion. So I've decided to focus more on the positive things in my life, for today. Today, in my... Those who throw away the innocent...

After a very harried and energy sapping Wednesday, my first thursday of the year went very well indeed. After speaking with my grandson's mother's mother, and hearing that neither she nor the girl's father were going to bail her out of jail or sign as cosigners on her bond I realized that it was up... The first Wednesday of the year...

Well, for this being the first Wednesday of the year I think that things have gone better than expected but not as good as I hoped. I have this interesting habit of expecting the worst and hoping for the best - most situations land somewhere in the middle and I'm not too surprised nor too... Sign in to see full entry.

Another day... another message...

Well, I was able to speak with (IM that is) for over an hour today with my son (the one stationed in Iraq). He sounded good, he said that things have remained quiet where he's at and the weather is pretty cold right now. I'm ever so thankful for small favors that the universe, God, what-have-you,... IMing is good...

Well, I was very shocked and wonderfully surprised this morning. My son in Iraq IMed me and we had a great conversation. He was able to reassure this worried old lady that he is safe and sound. His work schedule is pretty hectic, he averages 18 hours a day and by the time he gets back to his... Sign in to see full entry.

The World News sends shivers down my spine...

This evenings World News report of the execution of Saddam Hussein sent shivers down my spine. Especially as the reporters, oh so cavalierly, mentioned the possibility of reprisal activity against any US interests anywhere. Well, as some of you know by now my oldest son is stationed in Iraq. Even... Sign in to see full entry.
