This summer and its fading heat, Fighting for its place, Fills my heart with racing beats, A smile on my face. Our house is in the desert now, but when I wrote this, and Sadness, and other of my desert poems, I had never seen one, with the exception of tv. I think it was always waiting for me. Aaaah, I love the moon!

Selena Emboldened by darkness, Enfolded in velvety blackness, Curled under thick blankets And soft flesh. Cotton in my ears, Belly warm and heavy, Floating on a ship, Lulled by the water.
