If I Should Go

If I Should Go Sure as the sun Goes down tonight And the moon Is shining bright One day There'll be no dawn One day I will be gone If I should go Before I awake Just know My soul is safe If tomorrow Is not for me Just know My soul is free One day My eyes will close One day I will go To that land Where Jesus lives And there Forever live Sign in to see full entry.

Jesus Went To Vietnam--Happy Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day Jesus Went To Vietnam Jesus went to Vietnam A real war hero was He I know for sure that He went Because He went there with me On wings of mama's prayers And many nights on her knees Jesus went to Vietnam I know He went there with me From the dark streets of Saigon To the jungles of Da Nang To the mountain in Chu Lai Where the bombs fell just like rain On place called Happy Valley No happiness was found there But I sure do remember That my Jesus was right there On med-a-vac... Her Name Is Autumn (sonnet)

Her Name Is Autumn Way up in the trees the crows are cawing, And down to the ground the leaves are falling, My Autumn didn’t stay here very long. The mountains and the hills were all ablaze, My eyes and my heart they were so amazed, And now my Autumn sings her farewell song. If every month could be Autumn season, If she could stay all twelve months of the year, Why, then there would be hardly a reason For anyone to ever shed a tear. I tell you so glorious are her days, That thanks is all my lips... Sign in to see full entry.

Never Too Far

Never Too Far As big as His voice is It only carries so far Beyond arm’s length You’ve gone too far Stay close by His side A whisper you’ll hear All will be well He’ll dry your tears His arms are so long Below the bottom they reach Don’t dig your own grave Come to Him I beseech His arms are open wide He’s waiting for you Come to Him now To Him be true In a far away land You say that you dwell Well just turn around Just come to yourself You’ll wear a white robe When you come back home You are... Oh Beautiful Princess Dawn

Oh Beautiful Princess Dawn Oh beautiful princess Dawn Now that the dark night is gone With your beautiful white gown Made of fog’s feathery down You walk thru trees that tower And shine your light on this hour Your crown arrayed with flowers Oh beautiful princess Dawn Birds are singing to the fawn The squirrels have left their nest The doe looks for place to rest All the woods have come to see Come to adore your beauty And watch you walk gracefully Oh beautiful princess Dawn How blessed the... Tomorrow's Day

Tomorrow’s Day Tomorrow’s day May never come That is one race We might not run Why should we fret? O’er that day yet Tomorrow’s day May never come Yes this day’s plate Is full enough To feed us all Just share the love Sufficient is The trouble of Tomorrow’s day May never come The cross we bear Will surely be Enough today So why worry Work while you can Till day is done Tomorrow’s day May never come Sign in to see full entry.

Fallen

Fallen Today the lovely leaves sadly Covered the ground everywhere The cool gentle rain and the wind More than the fragile stems could bear Though so many have now fallen Many are they still hanging on My mind drifts back to the graveyard That November morn you were gone Though I had seen the day coming Yes the signs were everywhere Still my heart just wasn’t ready I guess I should have been prepared Not seeing longing in your eyes I continued to just hold on But time proved once more it’s so... The Creator (sonnet)

THE CREATOR (sonnet) Should I compare you to sweet autumn’s day? Nay you’re more beautiful than seasons change Could my heart ever find the words to say? How could I write them how could I arrange? Though colorful as the leaves on the trees They last not long enough to tell it all Your reflection greater than all of these Song sweeter than every bird that calls Works of your hands more beautiful than thee? Nay, potter far outshines the vase he makes More beauty than eyes are able to see Creator... Sign in to see full entry.

Life (sonnet)

Life In infancy leaf is as a little bud If not picked from its stem it will be born With veins and cord to receive nourishment If from its sweet mother it is not torn It will surely grow bigger and bigger With each and every day that goes by And become part of the family tree And the wind will blow and the leaf will sigh It will grow with its brothers and sisters To become a special part of the whole In summer it will work hard to provide Shade and cover and to perform its role In fall it tires... NOTHING SO SWEET HAVE I OWNED (sonnet)

NOTHING SO SWEET HAVE I OWNED (sonnet) What a beautiful evening, calm and mild A sacred reflection seems to be due The sun sits down in a beautiful hue Rocks the world to sleep like a little child The face of heaven has a peaceful smile Oh, listen it sounds like a choir sings As soft white clouds go by on silver wings In awe my imagination runs wild Oh so easy to know that you are here No doubt in my mind I am not alone With mind on Heaven peace is so divine Feasting on this heavenly view it’s...
