Stuffed Lizards & Holy Oils - This Week with Rev. Doc Fish

The dog days of summer have arrived here in South Florida, where every morning the sun starts boiling the Everglades with a 10+ UV index, which later turns into an afternoon deluge of lightning and rain even Noah would avoid. We’re used to it; some folks have nut-stashing squirrels frolicking about... Sign in to see full entry.

Ride The Vatican Pope-A-Coaster! - This Week with Reverend Doc Fish

Summer means vacation time for red-blooded American broods, and the time-ripened ranks of the First Church of The Holy Fish are no exception. Usually about thirty of them cram into the Holy Pilgrimage RV and drive north to the Mecca of All Amusement Parks, Orlando, and spend a few days sweltering in... Sign in to see full entry.

Mary Tyler Moore & the Holy Pig-Roast - This Week with Rev. Doc Fish

Yesterday was our annual "Pig Roast & Holy BBQ for the Wretched" here at the First Church of The Holy Fish, and we had well over a hundred indigent, unfortunate or otherwise ill-fated visitors passing through the Holy Compound’s gate, sniffing the aroma of Brother Jack’s original Hellfire Formula... Pat Robertson Call-Blocked by The Almighty - This Week with Rev. Doc Fish

Saturday mornings are a busy time at the Holy All-You-Can-Eat Dining Hall here at the First Church of The Holy Fish, and we get upwards of forty of the faithful motoring into the Holy Compound for our two-hour Philippians Pancake Breakfast & Free Swim Time, and we probably get another dozen or so... Diversity at The Holy Compound - This Week with Rev. Doc Fish

Enlightenment never comes easily, and parishioners here at the First Church of The Holy Fish are decidedly no exception. Most of them have been cast out of one congregation or another, not to mention entire communities, and ended up here in a last-minute stab at deliverance from evil, amen, before... Gay Horsemen of The Apocalypse - This Week with Rev. Doc Fish

There was an awful ruckus coming out of Texas after the Court OK’d mano-a-mano and girlo-a-girlo sex in June, and it didn’t sit too well with a whole bunch of my Christian brothers and sisters in the Lone Star State. Out on the streets there were Pentecostals and Lutherans and just about every kinda... Sign in to see full entry.

Hooter Hell! - This Week with Rev. Doc Fish

Strippers Stripped, Exiles Seek Steamy Sanctuary It isn’t often a news headline slaps you upside the head like a Mike Tyson right-cross. That’s the punch that’s followed up with an uneasy feeling that a 212-pound rat just had your ear for Sunday brunch, and when it happens you’re left wondering what... Sign in to see full entry.

Holy Homeland Security Fries - This Week with Rev. Doc Fish

French Fry in Holy War When you live in South Florida, news reports of a Politically Absurd nature tend to blend into each other, and go otherwise unnoticed. We have several local elected officials serving sentences in medium security facilities, for various crimes linked together only by unbridled... Sign in to see full entry.

Rev. Doc Fish

About this Blog
Rev. Doc Fish is founder and High Minister of The First Church of the Holy Fish, a shadowy parish open to sinners of "miscreant, malfeasant or otherwise dubious backgrounds, preferably with some source of disposable income". He introduced the world to "Holy Acts of Recompense", a monetary sacrament system of paying for sins at affordable rates. An ordained minister, he holds a Doctor of Divinity degree and tends to his herd of Faithful each week from his 12-acre religious compound on the eastern edge of the Everglades in South Florida.
