Before You Decide

Relying upon the promise of “ tomorrow, ” m any people have wandered around that door, but that tomorrow never comes. -Rumi, "Mathnawi" From "The Bounty of Allah," translated by Aneela Khalid Arshed. We Are the 99%

We are the ones who are inheriting The Earth; simply because we care about Her. We are the ones whose neghborliness is kindness and giving generously. We are the Earth's majority, awakening to our Birthright. We are Us looking to increase our rank until we are the 100%. We are those who stand before Mystery with humble courage. We are creating the twenty-first century in the reflection of Love and Light. We will not be denied. © 2011, Shamsuddin Sign in to see full entry.

Arrogant Self

Self-important, obstinate, swept away by the pride of wealth, they ostentatiously perform sacrifices without any regard for their purpose. Egotistical, violent, arrogant, lustful, angry, envious of everyone, they abuse my presence within their own bodies and in the bodies of others. -Bhagavad Gita 16:13 – 18 Arrogant Self I laugh in the face of Nafs'* insanity. The obstinate child screams its latest protest to what is. Shams has found the pearl of Compassionate Love. Patient Love heals all fear;... Sign in to see full entry.

I Stepped into the Night

I Stepped into the Night I stepped into the night much as I stepped into your life, years ago; in simple faith that it was good … Together, we created much holiness, some happiness, and a deep companionship. I stepped into the night; You were there/ here, with me. We spoke in silent paragraphs of love and dreams and plans and things....and it was good. Everything reminds me of you. The music; the smiles from friends and family; the quiet times, alone outside with a cigarette. All these call you... Sign in to see full entry.

Narrowness is not necessarily devotion, but often appears so.

Narrowness is not necessarily devotion, but often appears so. Bowl of Saki, November 19, by Hazrat Inayat Khan Commentary by Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan: How can those claim to love the Creator who do not love what He has created? For God could never have become known had there been no manifestation. So he who does not find sufficient beauty to admire in His manifestation cannot pretend to love God. So, too, if someone limits his love to a single object, saying, 'I only love this and there is... Sign in to see full entry.

Labyrinth

The Labyrinth There can come a moment where/when we decide to walk this labyrinth consciously with equanimity. We cannot know, much less control Life! We can, however, and thank god/dess, settle into our true spacious presence. We can be the deep peace which is pure power. We can know; we can live a peace beyond our power to comprehend or understand. Peace is power quietly expressed moment by moment, step by precious step in this labyrinth of life. © 2011 Shamsuddin Sign in to see full entry.

FORGIVE THE DREAM

FORGIVE THE DREAM All your images of winter I see against your sky. I understand the wounds That have not healed in you. They exist Because God and love Have yet to become real enough To allow you to forgive The dream. You still listen to an old alley song That brings your body pain; Now chain your ears To His pacing drum and flute. Fix your eyes upon The magnificent arch of His brow That supports And allows this universe to expand. Your hands, feet, and heart are wise And want to know the... Sign in to see full entry.

A Poem by Bob in NC

poem came to me, which I would like to share with you. Always Let the tears come, my love A tear is a healing thing I know you will miss me As I will miss you And when the great separation comes I want you to know there is no death of the real me As there was no birth I am as I always was Look for me not in words or activities Look for me by the seashore and in the forests Look for me on the mountain top Look for me in the sunrise and the sunset And know I am with you always, my love. God's Scribe

I am only Allah's scribe recording faithfully, according to my ability, God's beautiful projects: Her love intentions toward us and our Earthmother. I am blessed to record these revelations of and from The One. I share this honor with all of consciousness, itself. I share the hope that one day soon, We shall share Our Earthmother in the equity of our Oneness. © 2011 Shamsuddin Jim Norton Sign in to see full entry.

The Heart Is Fragile

The Heart Is Fragile “ Don ' t Bother ”, she said. Just so did ' bother ' begin. Felt dismissed and pushed away; Wanted to sleep alone. This, a more honest reflection of feelings resulting from “Don't bother”! © 2008 Shams Sign in to see full entry.

I Came to Bring Peace ( a warrior's last will and testament)

I Came to Bring Peace ( a warrior's last will and testament) I came, like a warrior of light, flashing lightening words randomly on fearful minds as well as those that see. We all smiled at my inanity; sometimes; Often we cringed, ducking for cover near the moat surrounding 'Mr. Spiritual Bully, and it hurt. Grasping for the ring, we firmly grab the Bull's Horn. The ride of our lives, we took, together and alone. Most of together was lite, playful, and fun!; Much of alone was hurting and afraid.... Sign in to see full entry.
